Phoronix Test Suite 6.2 Released, The New OpenBenchmarking.org Empowers Greater Benchmark Collaboration

16 February 2016 -- Phoronix Test Suite 6.2 (codenamed "Gamvik") is available today as the latest version of Phoronix Media's open-source, cross-platform benchmarking software. The release of Phoronix Test Suite 6.2 is joined by a new version of OpenBenchmarking.org to facilitate greater result collaboration and analysis by the open-source communities around the world.

Phoronix Test Suite 6.2 delivers improvements to the Phodevi system monitoring infrastructure, improvements to external dependency handling, improvements to the Phoromatic results viewer and other Phoromatic remote management enhancements, Phodevi software detection improvements, new user configuration options, graph rendering improvements, improved PDF generation of test result data, restoration of the MATISK testing module, and other optimizations and improvements.

A big focus during the Phoronix Test Suite 6.2 development cycle was on the major rewrite of our important OpenBenchmarking.org cloud platform. The new OpenBenchmarking.org has been in public beta since the beginning of the month and features a completely redesigned search engine, a new responsive web design, graphing and analytic improvements, and numerous other new features and enhancements. The new OpenBenchmarking.org will continue to mature and pick up additional functionality over the weeks and months ahead.
