Unlike Nexuiz, the Xonotic game on the NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards heavily favored the binary graphics driver.

The Nouveau driver still has a long ways to go in competing with the NVIDIA binary driver in terms of features, effective re-clocking support, and performance, but stay tuned to Phoronix for the latest updates to both the open and closed-source Linux graphics drivers.
