Overall the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti compute benchmarks were just as impressive as the Linux gaming benchmarks. Well, in fact, even more impressive. While there is the lack of Linux games that support ray-tracing at the moment for making use of the RT cores, the various test cases like OctaneBench, Blender with NVIDIA OptiX, and others can make use of the ray-tracing hardware. In those scenarios, the RTX 3060 Ti could even battle or outperform the RTX 2080 Ti while in the "worst case" scenarios were really about the RTX 2080 SUPER performance level.

Across all the compute tests run, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti was on par with the RTX 2080 Ti / TITAN RTX and around 20% faster than the RTX 2080 SUPER or 59% faster than the RTX 2060 SUPER.

During these compute tests the RTX 3060 Ti had an average power draw of 128 Watts and a peak of 200 Watts.

The RTX 3060 Ti Founder's Edition was running comfortably at 61 degrees on average during these tests with a peak of 72 degrees.

As long as you don't mind NVIDIA's proprietary drivers on Linux, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti offers down right great value at $399 USD. In the vast majority of the gaming tests and other workloads the RTX 3060 Ti was at a minimum matching the RTX 2060 SUPER but as noted in many situations even a great deal faster than that. Going from the RTX 2060 SUPER to RTX 3060 Ti is an easy 40%+ uplift. The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti performance was terrific and at a terrific price point and great power efficiency under 200 Watts. Now it will be interesting to see what AMD can achieve with the Radeon RX 6700 series.
