In the case of Apache Cassandra, the EPYC Siena 32-core processors were across the board better.

The RocksDB performance was great with EPYC Siena and also showcased the versatility of the Siena processors with the ability to run in the power determinism mode if craving even higher raw performance at the expensive of slightly lower power efficiency. Even with the EPYC 8324P/8324PN in power determinism mode their power efficiency was far ahead of the Xeon Gold 6421N.

The ebizzy web server load benchmark saw the EPYC 8424P and EPYC 8324PN performing similar to the Xeon Gold 6421N while leading in value and power efficiency while the performance was really driven ahead when switching over to the power determinism mode.
