These low-end Comet Lake processors are much faster at context switching than the older Intel CPUs thanks to the various hardware mitigations for the security vulnerabilities in recent years.

If all you are doing is using Firefox or Google Chrome for web browsing, the Pentium Gold G6400 performed decently in a number of the browser benchmarks but even then the Athlon 3000G comes in at a better value.
