NVIDIA 1.0-8174 Linux Performance
Overall, you can see performance gains clear across the board in not only the actual frame-rate but in the change log for the 1.0-8174 drivers. Unfortunately these performance gains were not as definitive as we had anticipated and not exactly all of the features we would have enjoyed were actually implemented. With the new features ranging from Scalable Link Interface support to 3D acceleration for NVIDIA's 6100/6150 integrated motherboards to the nvidia-xconfig utility, there is absolutely no reason not to try out these Linux drivers. More information on the 1.0-8174 (Rel80) benefits can be found in our other recently published articles such as our Linux SLI Primer and our long awaited Linux SLI performance results. More of these NVIDIA Linux performance articles will be delivered shortly.
