GCC 4.8.3 Compiler Released
For those that haven't already moved over to the recently released GCC 4.9, the third point release to the GNU Compiler Collection 4.8 series has finally surfaced.
It took a while for GCC 4.8.3 to materialize with the 4.8.2 compiler having been released in October of 2013, but it's now available today with a large number of bug-fixes to the free software compiler stack. However, the many new and exciting features are found only within the GCC 4.9 code-base.
Those interested can find the brief 4.8.2 release announcement that was issued this morning.
