Linux 3.12 Kernel Scheduler I/O Benchmarks
Our latest benchmarks of the Linux 3.12 kernel are looking at the I/O performance between the Noop, CFQ, and Deadline schedulers on the latest Linux kernel when using the high-end Intel Core i7 4960X.
Linux kernel scheduler benchmarks aren't a major focus at Phoronix but with our last Linux kernel I/O scheduler benchmarks being from a year and a half ago on Linux 3.4, I felt it time to deliver some updated results. This latest testing is from an HDD on the Core i7 4960X system and running the latest Linux 3.12 Git kernel.
As this is just some quick testing (with more thorough results from multiple systems being on the way), you can find these new I/O scheduler benchmarks between CFQ, Deadline, and Noop on OpenBenchmarking.org, having been facilitated by the Phoronix Test Suite.
These Linux I/O scheduler results can be found on 1310105-SO-LINUX312K58.
