GCC 4.8.1 Compiler Due To Be Out Next Week

Red Hat's Jakub Jelinek announced the GCC 4.8.1 release candidate with various bug-fixes and minor changes over the original GCC 4.8.0 release that came in late March. GCC 4.8.0 itself brought a ton of new improvements while all major work now is focused on GCC 4.9.
Per the status report, GCC 4.8.1 is expected to arrive about one week after this release candidate. In terms of bug count, there's no longer any P1 regressions but there are 65 P2 regressions and 31 P3 problems.
