The Code To Intel's New Linux Wireless Daemon Is Now Public

Tipped off by a Phoronix reader this afternoon, Intel's new wireless daemon for Linux is now publicly available. The code is hosted by this iwd.git repository.
This new daemon was designed for embedded Linux use-cases but should also work for desktops too. the new "IWD" daemon offers improvements around persistency, WiFi management, reduced abstractions for different operating systems and legacy interfaces, and changes to operation. See that earlier article and the Git documentation for more details on this new Intel open-source wireless daemon.
The IWD daemon remains under active development and will be interesting to see where it leads and if it ends up supplanting wpa_supplicant.
