With the Prey game results, the numbers are flat for the past year with no signs of improvements when trying the fglrx 8.99 and 9.0 release streams on Ubuntu Linux.

Moving onto the Unigine tests, which are the most demanding OpenGL workloads right now for native Linux, at least until the Source Engine games have arrived. With the Unigine Sanctuary results, which are the oldest tech demo from Unigine, there is not much to see. With the initial Radeon HD 7950 support found in Catalyst 12.1 the performance is shoddy but was quickly corrected in Catalyst 12.2 and since then the performance has been stable. However, at 2560 x 1600 with the more recent driver releases, the frame-rate does appear to be falling back ever so slightly.
