GNOME Foundation To Finally Challenge Groupon Over Trademarks

It seems the GNOME Foundation is finally getting their act together in today announcing a campaign to protect its trademarks. The GNOME Foundation is seeking idological and monetary support for defending its mark against Groupon, which their legal experts feel will cost around $80,000 USD. GNOME has been a registered trademark to the foundation since 2006.
GNOME announced the campaign this morning and of course their flabbergasted too that Groupon would choose to use the Gnome name without being aware of the GNOME desktop on Linux.
Hopefully the GNOME Foundation and Groupon will be able to get this settled out of court without too much hassle.
