Freedreno Gallium3D Sees New Activity
In addition to new improvements to Intel's Mesa driver, the Freedreno Gallium3D driver for Qualcomm Adreno/Snapdragon ARM graphics support has seen improvements too ahead of the Mesa 10.0 branching.
Found in Mesa Git as of Friday night for the Mesa 10.0 release includes the following Freedreno enhancements:
- Fixes for handling full-precision in the fragment shader.
- Fixes for handling relative addressing.
- Support for the square root (sqrt) TGSI opcode.
- Updated Envytools header files.
- Other bug-fixes.
This latest round of Freedreno driver enhancements is just a small portion of the many Mesa 10.0 improvements to be found when it's officially released around late November.
