AMD APUs Don't Appear Affected By Linux 3.12 Change

While the AMD Radeon HD 3000/4000/5000/6000 series discrete graphics cards benefited hugely for many OpenGL workloads when upgrading to the Linux 3.12 kernel from Linux 3.11, the AMD E-350 APU with integrated Radeon HD 6310 graphics saw little change between kernel releases.
Many Phoronix readers requested AMD APU tests so from an E-350 APU on a ASUS E35M1-M PRO motherboard I ran some tests on Xubuntu 13.04 with an older Mesa 9.3 Git snapshot when using the mainline Linux 3.11 and 3.12 Git vanilla kernels. For those that follow @MichaelLarabel on Twitter, I shared these results hours ago.
For those that didn't see the AMD APU kernel comparison the results are hosted on OpenBenchmarking.org at 1310131-SO-LINUX312G09. Meanwhile, the Linux kernel bisecting process of this kernel performance change for Radeon GPUs is nearly complete.
To end with the PSA from the earlier article, "As Phoronix.com is entirely funded by advertisements and site subscriptions, please disable AdBlock when viewing this site and/or please subscribe to Phoronix Premium or consider a PayPal contribution. All of this testing is done single-handedly by myself while writing literally thousands of articles per year for Phoronix. Just the testing for today's article ended up being twenty hours of work between Saturday and Sunday to complete this massive comparison and was my unexpected way to spend the weekend, on top of my usual seven-day-per-week workload. Your support and donations are appreciated to continue this work especially considering how tough it is for Linux sites. Beyond that, AMD hasn't even been sending out hardware samples lately for Linux testing so the recent AMD GPUs I've actually had to purchase retail."
