Sabayon 11 Supports UEFI, NVIDIA Optimus
The Gentoo-based Sabayon Linux distribution is out with version 11 and it introduces several new features for users of this Linux desktop distribution.
Sabayon 11 isn't just a re-branded Gentoo but it ships with the Linux 3.7 kernel using the BFQ I/O scheduler, supports UEFI Secure Boot now through Matthew Garrett's signed shim, NVIDIA Optimus graphics support through using the Bumblebee package. and improvements to the Rigo application browser.
Going forward, this rolling release distribution is hoping to put out automated releases on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.
