First up are a few I/O benchmarks but not many due to using the same Crucial MX300 525GB SSD in each of the six systems.

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS was delivering the fastest sequential read performance of these three Linux distributions all using EXT4 while the Fedora vs. Clear results were rather mixed.

While when it came to sequential write speed with FIO, Clear Linux was much faster than Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and Fedora 28.

With the initial create test via Compile Bench, Clear Linux was much faster than Ubuntu 18.04 LTS which in turn was faster than Fedora 28. This carried through on all of the systems tested.
