AMD Radeon RX 6800 vs. NVIDIA RTX 30 Linux Performance Heating Up

Hitman was tested as the latest in the Hitman franchise with a native Linux port by Feral Interactive and rendered using OpenGL. Like with the other OpenGL game tests, the strong RadeonSI performance led both Radeon RX 6800 series cards to outperform the GeForce RTX 3080.

HITMAN 2 meanwhile can run on Linux thanks to Valve's Steam Play and rendered using Vulkan. HITMAN 2 with these latest Linux graphics drivers saw the Radeon RX 6800 competing well with the GeForce RTX 3080 while the RX 6800 XT was measurably ahead of the RTX 3080.
