The EPYC 7Fx2 line-up performs very well with LuxCoreRender and the 7272 1P/2P configurations did come out ahead of the Xeon Gold 6258R.

Similarly the Stockfish performance saw the EPYC 7F72 just a little bit faster than the Xeon Gold 6258R, which is impressive considering the few extra cores/threads for this highly-threaded chess benchmark.

But for the Assembly-written asmFish chess benchmark, the Xeon CPUs had the slight edge.

The EPYC 7F72 could compile the Linux 5.4 kernel in 37 seconds or 24 seconds in a 2P configuration compared to the Xeon Gold 6258R being at 40 and 27 seconds, respectively.

The EPYC 7F72 also came out ahead of the Xeon Gold 6258R performance with the timed LLVM compilation.
