More important than just the benchmarks itself was that the RISC-V experience on the SiFive HiFive Unmatched under Ubuntu 22.04 LTS was very stable and hadn't run into any stability problems or other headaches.

Those wanting to see all of my Ubuntu 21.04 vs. 21.10 vs. 22.04 RISC-V benchmarks can see this OpenBenchmarking.org result page for the dozens of benchmarks in full. Ubuntu 22.04 LTS was overall delivering slightly better performance on average than Ubuntu 21.10, which in turn had made huge gains over the performance of Ubuntu 21.04.

Ubuntu 22.04 LTS from my testing thus far has been in great shape for RISC-V as tested with this FU740 developer board and next on my agenda is a larger RISC-V Linux distribution comparison from this Unmatched developer board. Thanks again to SiFive for having provided this review sample in allowing these ongoing RISC-V benchmarks to continue.
