Within Intel's own Open Image Denoise and OpenVKL components were finally some aggressive fighting over the top spots between the Xeon and Threadripper processors tested... Unless talking about price, in which case the Threadripper parts are cheaper.

OSPRay benchmark with settings of Benchmark: particle_volume/ao/real_time. Threadripper 7980X was the fastest.

OSPRay benchmark with settings of Benchmark: gravity_spheres_volume/dim_512/pathtracer/real_time. Threadripper 7980X was the fastest.

When it came to Intel's OSPRay renderer, the AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors were delivering terrific performance.

With the OSPRay tests the Threadripper 7980X was now solidly out in front of the Xeon Max 9480 and Xeon Platinum 8480+ processors. The performance-per-Watt lead of the 7980X was quite narrow over the Xeon Sapphire Rapids processors for OSPRay.
