I don't understand what you mean, can you clarify?
The compilation issue was anyway fixed days ago, as you can see from the linked bug and on the PPA.
If you have a performance issue I suggest to report it here: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/new

Is there a way to revert drivers back to a certain date? For example, say I wanted to install the PPA drivers (for INTEL) from the first week of March 2020 for BIONIC. Is there a mechanism to do that?
I don't know a way to use older packages.

    • Why is there an updated version of Network-manager in your PPA?!

      • I backported it from focal to fix an annoying bug.

Thanks, could you please explain this bug?

          • OpenVPN NM plugin opening tens of windows asking password when not using the system and then the NM applet crashing. The backport fixed it.

            • Could you take a look at this issue? https://github.com/flightlessmango/M...ment-581179195

              • I don't see an issue, some header files changed packages due to libglvnd improvements. Newer Debian and Ubuntu also have this change.

                • If by any chance you have a bit spare time with nothing to do, I would appreciate it if you might look into backporting xorg-xserver 1.20.8, as currently xwayland is broken for me due to https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/2731. It has been packaged for 20.04 already (in proposed).

Done. You may also want to upgrade to focal.

Thank you very much. You are, of course, right about upgrading.
