This time around there wasn't any appearant frame-rate performance gains for the open-source Radeon graphics in this Liquorix kernel comparison.

The time to build a default Linux 4.3 kernel build did the best under the Linux 4.4 mainline Git kernel while the 4.3-based kernel usage led to slightly longer compilation times.

There was surprisingly a lot of fluctuation in the C-Ray multi-threaded ray-tracer results with the Linux 4.4 Git kernel again beating out the 4.3-based options.

The Linux 4.4 kernelwas again running much better than the 4.3-based kernels when it came to parallel BZIP2 compression, but there was some deviation in the 4.3-based numbers.
