Examination:

Seasonic's M12 series is a relatively simple power supply from the outside while the innards are a bit more complicated. On the outside, the M12 is black and looks very nonchalant. At the rear of the power supply is the AC power connector and power switch. With the power supply being active PFC, no voltage switch is necessary. For assisting with the airflow is a honeycomb mesh covering a majority of the rear. At the bottom of the power supply is a 12cm intake fan, while on the adjacent side is also a 6cm fan. Both of these fans are ball bearing and are designed to be super quiet. The 6cm fan is thermally controlled and will only operate when necessary. The build quality for the entire power supply appears to be top-notch.

While the M12 PSU is modular, its motherboard connectors are not since they are always needed for operation. All of the cables are sleeved and the molex connectors offer an easy swap connector. With the technical specifications for the units, each of the four +12V rails provide 18A, which should be adequate for most systems. The capacitors used by the power supply are aluminum electrolytic, and the power supply features dual magnetic amplifiers.
