AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT & RX 7700 XT Linux Performance

I also fired up some workstation OpenGL benchmarks as well in being curious about the current performance there with the open-source graphics drivers on these consumer cards.

For some of the SPECViewPerf 2020 benchmarks on Linux, the Radeon RX 7900 XT can even outperform the GeForce RTX 4090 thanks to no artificial driver limitations and all of the workstation/SPEC-focused optimizations that AMD invested into RadeonSI the past few years.

Interesting for CREO-O3, the GeForce RTX 4080 delivered the best performance-per-Watt but was closely followed by the Radeon RX 7700 XT.

The Radeon parts do very well in great value for SPECViewPerf workloads.

Overall it was an interesting fresh look at the SPECViewPerf 2020 performance under Linux with the latest AMD and NVIDIA consumer cards.
