Tyan Tiger i7520SD S5365 Preview
After looking at the Tyan Tempest i5000XL yesterday, today we are featuring a small preview of the Tiger i7520SD S5365. Rather than taking the Woodcrest LGA-771 route, the Tiger i7520SD features the Lindenhurst Chipset and wields dual mPGA479 sockets for use with Intel's Xeon LV Sossaman processors. Other features for the S5365 consist of ATI ES1000 integrated graphics, dual PCI Express x8 slots, Tyan TARO support, triple networking ports, and support for up to 16GB of registered DDR2-400 memory. The motherboard is also designed for 1U environments with optimal airflow and thermal advantages.
Unlike the Tyan Tempest i5000XL S2692 that we had begun to look at yesterday, the Tiger i7520SD that we received does appear to be the retail version, and was not a pre-production model. Opening up the packaging, the included accessories was a single IDE-133 ribbon cable, two Serial ATA cables, one S5365 user's manual, one quick reference guide, one driver CD, and one I/O shield. Below are Tyan's specifications for the Tiger i7520SD.
