The Graphics Cards For Linux Gaming With The Best Value & Efficiency At Higher Resolutions

To no surprise and similar to the 1080p benchmarks from last week, NVIDIA destroyed the AMD competition... The GTX 960 was faster than the R9 Fury, and this is even with Catalyst 15.9 where AMD finally added the CS:GO application profile. At least at 2560 x 1440, it's not as embaressing as the 1080p results where even the GTX 950 was faster than the R9 Fury. At 2560 x 1440, all of the tested NVIDIA hardware delivered playable frame-rates while on Radeon with Catalyst the R9 290 and R9 Fury were the closest to 120 FPS while the R9 270X / R9 285 / R7 370 would have dips below 60 FPS.
On a cost basis, the GTX 950 and GTX 960 easily lead over the rest of the pact for this not too demanding game.
On a performance-per-Watt basis, the GTX 980 series were most optimal. Given the poor Catalyst performance, the R9 Fury with its Fiji HBM GPU was less efficient than even the GTX 950.
