Ubuntu 24.10 Beta Released For Testing

The beta release of Ubuntu 24.10 "Oracular Oriole" was released in time for some weekend testing.

Ubuntu 24.10 is now in beta for this six-month Linux distribution update powered by the Linux 6.11 kernel, GCC 14 compiler, updated Mesa drivers, and a wealth of other updates as covered in our many Ubuntu 24.10 articles. On the desktop side is GNOME 47.

The Ubuntu 24.10 Beta releases today are for Ubuntu Desktop, Ubuntu Server, Ubuntu Cloud, Edubuntu, Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Ubuntu Budgie,
Ubuntu Cinnamon, UbuntuKylin, Ubuntu MATE, Ubuntu Studio, Ubuntu Unity, and Xubuntu flavors.

Downloads and more details on the Friday afternoon release of the Ubuntu 24.10 Beta via the release announcement. Ubuntu 24.10 stable is expected for release on 10 October.
