Intel Releases Two New Open-Source Drivers
This week NVIDIA released their 177.82 Linux driver and AMD pushed out their Catalyst 8.11 Linux driver. Intel has now joined the party and pushed out not one but two new driver releases. Intel's Jesse Barnes has announced the release of the xf86-video-intel 2.4.3 and 2.5.1 DDX drivers.
The xf86-video-intel 2.4.3 driver has eight fixes including a quirk fix for ASUS's new Eee Box and a GMA 4-Series stolen memory bit. The xf86-video-intel 2.5.1 driver incorporates these fixes plus other corrections -- including some work with SVDO and TV. The release announcements for the two drivers can be read here and here.
