The OpenJDK Java performance on the Core i9 10980XE varied between the BSDs and Linux distributions but generally FreeBSD 12.1 was performing very well and in-line with the other Linux distributions around the middle of the stack.

With the OpenMP-threaded GraphicsMagick image manipulation benchmarks, FreeBSD 12.1 with its default Clang compiler led to very competitive performance and often was coming in first place. DragonFlyBSD 5.6/5.7 meanwhile was at the rear of the pack.
