With the ARES-6 JavaScript benchmark, Chrome continues being substantially faster than Firefox 70....

Not only is Chrome much faster, but when running these tests it led to over 100MB less RAM being used than the Firefox configurations.

In addition, the average power consumption was about ~2 Watts less than when running Firefox.

Chrome 78 was almost 40% faster than Firefox 70 with the Basemark browser benchmark.

Again, Chrome 78 led to lower RAM usage than Firefox, but at least when using WebRender the RAM usage was lowered a bit.

Chrome 78 also continued leading to slightly better power efficiency over Firefox.
