OpenSUSE Leap 15.1 Is Performing Very Well On AMD EPYC

In many cases, openSUSE Leap 15.1 does perform similar to Leap 15.0 at least when comparing the out-of-the-box performance.

Overall, OpenSUSE Leap 15.1 is in very good shape on AMD EPYC and a pleasant upgrade over 15.0 for just being a point release / service pack and these gains we've seen now across multiple AMD EPYC servers locally. On Intel Xeon hardware, Leap 15.1 has offered up improvements too but tended to be less noticeable from the tests I've carried out so far. If you are a desktop user, generally you'll be best off with Tumbleweed for bleeding-edge performance and packages.
