    Vega 3 should be as fast as any intel graphics, a typical Mali gpu is 10x slower than Vega 3.

      I would image the Windows installation with something like Clonezilla or Macrium ... and blow away the Windows install for a Linux installation.

      You never know if/when you'll want to reinstall Windows on that laptop.

      Or ... since there are 2 M.2 slots in the machine, install a pair of large capacity (preferably 1TB each, or more if it's supportable) M.2 SSDs. Move Windows to one of them and squish it down to save space. Then install a nice Linux distro and let GRUB boot Windows rather than letting Windows boot Linux.

        And I like MY cheap laptops to have...

        11.6“ display; not 14“;
        a maximum of 64 GB of eMMC-- absolutely NO SSDs;
        no Ethernet port;
        no back-lit keyboard;
        non-expandable memory and hard drive;
        display resolution maximum of 1366x768; definitely NOT 1080P, so...
        no HDMI port .
        TN display; CERTAINLY not an IPS display.

        Maybe you'd be happier with a Chromebook.

        I can't stand 'uppity' laptops, either,

          IMHO - Finding a low priced laptop with really good performance that does not require a fan is like trying to find a great tasting wine that isn't old or doesn't cost a nice bit of money.

              Few years ago there was an article that said Microsoft was only charging $15 a license on low end laptops, then like another couple of years later there was an article saying they were going to cut it even further to compete with Chrome books. Not sure how that panned out but it's not likely these low end laptop manufacturers are paying much of anything for their windows licenses.

                  Reportedly 32GB works, but only 16GB officially.

                    Michael - What about the display? Is it a TN or IPS panel?
