Check my scratchpad for more info https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...it?usp=sharing (I wrote an article about Doom 3 improvements a few years ago, but iit s down for a while...)

Compiles, timedemo works, but somehow fail to start a game all under sikkmod... well does not matter just been a little curious to try that material.Last edited by dungeon; 10 October 2015, 06:29 AM.

From what I can tell, IODoom3 is still using the original ARB shaders and has removed shadows. What really needs to happen is to replace all of the ARB stuff with GLSL, and implement shadowmapping. I believe there is already another Doom3 project that does this, by MH, I *think*. Would be nice to see IODoom3 adopt these changes, they are surely made public by now. Regardless, an Open Source Doom project would be pretty cool.
