Got myself the Valve Complete Pack for 18 and Euro Truck Simulator 2 Deluxe Bundle for 20? with Going East! and Scandinavia DLC's, and to my surpise, the latter is available for Linux also. Installing it now to see how well it preforms on my Linux install as I'm unable to use the discrete card on Linux (thanks HP).

Meaning, you'd probably get better fps with the windows version with nine.

I mean https://wiki.ixit.cz/d3d9
Just for example on my HD 7970M the native version of Counter Strike GO is hardly playable on lowest settings (often drops below 60 fps, often it's around 40fps), but the windows version with nine runs much better on high settings with AA, never drops below 60 fps (only for a moment, when people join).
It's not visible well in the videos I made here, because it seems the screen recording has a higher impact on the wine+nine version than on the native one: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Cou...ment-107507697
Oh and SteamVR?
SteamVR unity plugin is windows only: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/32647
SteamVR unreal plugin is windows only: https://github.com/EpicGames/UnrealE...teamVR.uplugin
SteamVR Compositor is not available for linux: https://steamcommunity.com/app/25082...85406672704681
Maybe in the future, but right now it's just as bad.Last edited by haagch; 13 June 2015, 08:39 AM.

This Readme, that popped up recently, hints that AMD might not be supported.

So, if you have a Radeon card and want to play SoM on Linux better wait for the first reviews.
I hope it's a false alarm, but we know how games tyically perform with Catalyst on Linux if they are "not officially supported".
Edit: Actually the game-specific FAQ tells us that intel & AMD GPUs are "not currently supported by Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor."
