Did a clean install of the 10.2 drivers and got it to work this time. It's like 1fps slower than the W7 OpenGL run. I can confirm that AA causes some weird distortion.

Res used for Nv tests was 1920x1200.

When you look at the results it is clear that ATI mainly optimized the DX code. Even with my own tests with a very slow ATI 4550 Linux had about 6 fps, Win OpenGL 6 but Win DX10 8 fps (1280x1024 res). Nv 8800 GTS 512 had Linux 25, Win OpenGL 24, Win DX10 26 fps. When you compare 32 vs 64 bit on Linux only the min fps was different, but less than 0.5 fps, should not really matter. Used lucid for 32vs64 bit tests, Kanotix 64 with 32 bit binary for the others. Kanotix 32 bit can not run the 32 bit binary too... I really don't get how that could be possible.

Anti-aliasing doesn't present any corruption for my nVidia 9800GT so it might be an fglrx issue.

Unfortunately they dont use Pulseaudio where available so I think it could be due to pa's ALSA compat module issues.

With any luck fglrx will get fixed soon. I really want to buy an ATI card.

I actually did that the first time however it didn't harm anything here requiring a reboot.

    Here are my results:

    Specs (all stock clocks):
    AMD Phenom II 940
    ATI HD 4890
    4GB DDR2 RAM
    SATA2 7200RPM 1TB
    ATI Catalyst 10.2

    Linux OpenGL:

    Windows 7 OpenGL:

    Windows 7 DX 10:

It seems like it runs smoother in DirectX mode. I noticed several issues with the OpenGL version on both Windows and Linux (same issues, except for Linux having a few more).

Seems to run a bit better fullscreen instead of windowed.

If you're running KDE best not to disable compositing while the demo's running (if you're not into reboots)
