You don't use stable kernels (they're all done by Greg K-H)?

Stable releases are basically bug fixes and nothing else. A new kernel release contains a whole lot more than bug fixes.

Oh wow. Such strong emotions over a document that basically says that you have to be nice to one another. Personally I think all the people complaining so hard over this, just wants somewhere where they can be assholes without any real consequences. What a joke.

For those who didn't get the joke, that's the full translated name of the NKVD, Stalin's secret police.

Edit: For those who think it's a Monty Python reference, consider the message that came with it as it clearly pushes the CoC that was sprung on people with no real advance warning to discussion as to it's necessity. Those things tend to be pushed most heavily by people on the far left, who also like to idolize the former eastern block with it's far left ideology so similar to fascism in both origin and fundamental ideology ("for the benefit of the people at any cost") they're pretty much the same ideology.
Nice propaganda here mate. McCarthy would be proud. You are a proud MURICA citizen. "Similar to Fascism"? How old are you, 12? Any serious person with political background understands that communism and socialism are the very antithesis of Fascism. If you are looking for similarities to fascism, look at late stage capitalism. Your MURICA is a blatant police state, your media are corrupt, your politicians are corrupt, your courts of law are corrupt, your education is shit, you owe huge amounts of money and the only reason your economy is still standing is because you are threatening anyone who complains with military action...

You are making jokes about Stalin's secret police while convienently ignoring that USA has at least 20 well known secret service branches and who knows how many black projects. NSA CIA FBI and a huge collection of acronyms, and you think Stalin was bad? Seriously? No one can even take a plane there without 100 people grabing your nuts for search and you think Stalin was bad? You have been bombing millions of children for decades and you think Stalin was bad? You have been topling foreign military governments for decades and you think Stalin was bad? You voted for a blatant fascist for president, who acts like a mad cowboy towards every country in the world, and you think Stalin was bad?

I am tired of CIA capitalist propaganda. Seriously. Stop it. Just stop it. Enough is enough. We have seen what capitalism has brought to the world, WARS, POLLUTION, DEATH, POVERTY. And you people still spread 60s propaganda about Stalin... You are delusional.

To prevent burning of brains, we constantly invent various methods and solutions to keep human brain in captivity

Honestly, back-porting all the bugfixes is trickier than merging new features (that are already vetted by maintainers at multiple levels in most cases).

Nice bit of projection and whataboutism there, but your post goes so far off the mark right from the start that it's pretty funny. Because I'm not American, I'm from Finland!

Seriously, sharing our biggest land border with Russia we got front row seats to the USSR and all the atrocities committed under communism and being European we kind of found ourselves in the thick of it with Nazi Germany's atrocities. If you look at where they came from, Fascism is, like Communism, absolutely an offshoot of radical Socialism, being founded by a lifelong radical socialist (Mussolini) who cut ties with the Italian Socialists because they decided to take part in the parliamentary process and abandoned their goal to achieve Socialism trough revolution. Hitler also initially tried to achieve his goals trough revolution and went to prison, where he wrote Mein Kampf, when his Beer Hall Putch failed (and quite miserably so). How the Communists came to power in Russia is probably something I don't need to get into.

Moving on to ideology they both claim to be for the benefit of the people by pretty much any means necessary including the collectivization of the means of production and the systematic persecution and murder of perceived opponents. The groups they systematically persecuted and murdered even overlap for the most part, both including dissidents, homosexuals, jews and ethnic minorities. While fascism later on didn't emphasize the Socialist aspect of their policies as heavily as they did early early on, this was mostly to differentiate themselves from the German Communists also vying for power in Weimar Germany using similar tactics and messages. The "Socialist" in "National Socialist" really wasn't for show as one of the first things they did when they came to power was counter income inequality by standardizing wages such that not only would workers earn more, many high paying jobs had their wages significantly reduced.

As much as both of the two ideologies liked to deny being similar to the other, particularly when their leaders publicly professed to hate the other ideology, the reality is that they both share a common origin and some major similarities on the most fundamental levels. Thankfully they both no longer exist as an actual form of government, but to act like one was somehow acceptable and the other one wasn't despite their overwhelming similarities is either ignorant or really dishonest. Particularly when one has still has despicable "neo"-followers of it and the policies of the other is still clearly visible in the brutal and inhumane way sexual minorities are still treated in Russia.

Millions of children? Really? I get that there are good reasons for citizens of foreign countries to dislike the US. The point is there are enough good reasons that you don't have to make shit up.....

EDIT: I would like to advise you to actually read the communist manifesto. What it does not do is define communism. In fact there has -NEVER- been an alternative to capitalism. I would like you to explain what you think the socio-economic differences between 1940 Nazi Germany vs 1970 USSR (vs 2018 USA)...... Go ahead, it'll be a good read and a lot people here would enjoy it.

OT: Which is exactly why so called "stable" distributions make no sense at all. A vetted rolling release, that's how most packages are made.
