I just upgraded my production Mandriva Linux computer following these instructions and I am loving it. One little thing I have noticed that is fixed in this release is that the frame around Luna/Moon widget is gone. Looks much nicer now with the space wallpaper I am using.

KDE is technically a stronger desktop IMO.

So let the KDE desktop continue marching on
    I agree wholeheartedly.

My only system suffering from that is my 64-bit virtual machine, which is still unfixed as of 4.4.2.

Lol, use Konqueror, google your house with google maps, drag&drop it on your desktop widget, fullscreen it and it keeps your house satalite image up to date with the image.

However, it's not realy a static webpage, so I don't know if it'll work

Anyway, no I am using Fedora 12 on my desktop, currently
I always wanted to make my own Gentoo and LFS, but never actually did it...

Like showed here (you probably want to install some plasma addon):

Btw. this video is a bit choppy, but it doesn't matter Marble as a desktop works great for me with os radeon driver.

Right-click on the desktop, select "Desktop Activity Settings", and then choose "Globe" in the "Type" drop-down list. Then you get this:

IIRC, you're using Gentoo? In that case, you need to have the "plasma" USE flag enabled for kde-base/marble in order to get that option in the desktop settings.

Ah so that was the problem. Well that was my last problem with KDE4...

There are now two things I realy want from it, which is a OpenGL wallpaper for Plasma, or was this already done with SC 4.4.x? And also Plasma sometimes still doesn't remember my widget location/size properly in some cases.

Other than that I love KDE4. SC 4.5 will probably be extremely epic
