Also on the video acceleration front with Firefox 115 is now supporting Cisco's OpenH264 plug-in for platforms lacking H.264 video decoding otherwise.
Out of curiosity, what would be such a platform?

            Great now it just needs:
            • Clear button on input type=search
            • Password reveal toggle on input type=password
            • Datalist support for input type=color and type=date
            • Emoji picker (on Linux)

How many years has it been since you've started pointing out Firefox doesn't support this and that for some control? Do you still hope devs will implement that because you post here tirelessly? Or are you just bragging you're up-to-date with which parts of HTML5 are not yet implemented?

Even a graphic card from 2008 supports hardware accelerated h.264 (ex. Radeon HD 4650) , is there any platform in 2023 yet without h.264 hw dec ?

Thanks, I was looking for that one.

Good news: 2023 is the year we have been counting down to: The first version of H.264 is 20 now years old.

That means that if you live in a WHO country, all essential patents have expired by now, for the subset of H.264 described in this version.
