    From my experience, yeah (though I don't recall anyone making claims to the extent you make) I don't expect things to stay as they are, however. ART should provide the promised benefits eventually.
    Considering all the changes that went into lollipop, and the qa measures the android team apparently takes, I'm not that surprised.
    ART was the direction they had to go. Not so much for performance reasons but certainly for battery life.

      BTW since you answer questions. Is it true that people are working on a WL remote protocol (not related to RDP or whatever else). Was it just an idea and will never get to production or we will see something when the desktop stuff is there???


      Unfortunately in the 18 months since that proof-of-concept was posted, none of the people who absolutely critically require remote Wayland have taken it up and turned it into something more polished. But it already works quite well: http://people.freedesktop.org/~krh/rolling-hash/
