In reality, the fact that KDE now is platform agnostic alienates it from the platforms it draws its strength from...

If they keep going on like this, KDE will die. It will alienate Linux and BSD users, and Windows and Mac users WILL NEVER CARE ABOUT IT. It will simply become irrelevant...
