NVIDIA vs. AMDGPU-PRO vs. RadeonSI OpenGL Comparison For Holidays 2016
With BioShock Infinite the open-source AMD results are still coming up short of AMDGPU-PRO, but it's no longer by a wide margin. The NVIDIA Linux performance with their binary driver was meanwhile better with the GTX 1060 competing against the Radeon R9 Fury for this particular game.
The open vs. hybrid AMD Linux performance for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was close and in the case of the R9 Fury was much faster with the latest Mesa code.
We've already shown many Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Linux benchmarks this month since Feral ported this game to Linux. The results continue to show the open AMD driver stack having a long way to catch-up to the AMDGPU-PRO performance, which in turn still has a ways to being more competitive with the NVIDIA Linux performance.
