Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
We've been meaning to deliver benchmarks from the Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 for some time now, but with the new site, the upcoming Solaris hardware support, quad/octal core benchmarking, and the variety of articles we have been working on, things have been quite hectic around here. However, with Fedora 7 Test 4 now being available, we have finally published our Core 2 Duo E6400 Linux results.
As we had covered back on the July launch day, the Core 2 Duo series (a.k.a. Conroe) is built upon 65nm manufacturing, supports Intel VT Virtualization Technology, Enhanced Intel Speed Step Technology, SSE4, and iAMT2. The Intel E6400 operates at 2.13GHz with a 1066MHz FSB, offers 2MB of L2 cache, and is a dual-core LGA-775 part. Other Intel benefits include Wide Dynamic Execution, Intelligent Power Capability, Smart Memory Access, Advanced Smart Cache, and Advanced Digital Media Boost.
