I've been through the Qt3 to Qt4 transition, which was quite terrible. But Qt4 to Qt5 wasn't so bad, and I expect Qt5 to Qt6 to be even less painful.

The qt3-4 transition was bad enough that I dumped qt for the project i was working on. That software was engineering production grade so it didn't need to be pretty, but it certainly needed to be fast (qt is definitely not)
