Mobile CPUs do not. Even high performance ones, say the i7-7700HQ.

Mobile CPUs don't support it, this is like saying certain Skylakes don't support Hyperthreading ... By the way Intel ark is often wrong, the i7-6700HQ supports TSX for example.

CPU-Z reports my wife's Core i3-6100U supports TSX whereas my Core i5-7200U does not.

Intel is very weird with TSX support.

Let's hope Zen 2 has TSX or some equivalent. I think it should be a priority, if they're serious about the datacenter & cloud computing markets.
