PS2/XBox are about the oldest console HW that makes sense, IMO. You need a HDD, networking, and USB for a console to be of much use.

True. I had just been looking at the "packed math" instructions, which have only about a half dozen fp16 opcodes (min, mix, add, mul, and fma)....
