Alacritty is a joke. Look elsewhere.

Kitty and Zutty are my low-latency suggestions.

I wasnt a fan of zutty, I mainly use wezterm or kitty, but lately i've been trying out rio and cosmic-term, both are pretty good

Zutty's non-terminal side (i.e. configuration and such UX) is terrible indeed. Fortunately, it only needs to be done once, but I wish they'd improve on that.

Kitty is a little friendlier, and similarly low latency in measurements.
