xattr bloom filter support for speeding up negative xattr look-ups
That is very cool, and surprising. I have used Bloom filters before but for very large sets with billions of elements. That it provides significant speed up with a 32-bit long filter and so few elements is great, but not a use case I would have thought of for Bloom filters. Do other FS in the kernel do that already or is that a novel use of Bloom filters?
