        it could be there. seems like kent has got all of his pre-reqs on target for 6.6, but it could easily get bumped. I think if it hasn't landed by 6.6-rc2 then it doesn't look good.

        Christoph is still disapproving of the way bcachefs uses bio/iomap for example:

          6.6 may be a target, but that will work out only if working with the impacted subsystem maintainers works out well (the previous patch series involved a lot of different maintainers). It would help a great deal if there were corporate sponsorship (and therefore long term maintenance assurances) available from one of the large supporters of the Linux foundation rather than it being more of an unfunded, few person, show. For better or worse, Linux is an adult now, and serious long term commitments are now part of the decision process for acceptance.
