Does Debian itself have releases for Raspberry Pi and are all the desktop environment that Debian offers in its installer for x86 computers available to be installed on raspberry Pi devices too?

What does Raspberry Pi OS have compared to Debian, why doesn't they upstream their bugfixes and improvements into Debian?

The term Wayland in Linux is popping up more frequently recently. It will die off when it's standard...

On a serious note, neat news about the Raspberry Pi OS.

Detailed changelog actually looks impressive. Making so many internal changes while maintaining the same user interface is really awesome.

They're not just making bug fixes. This is a debian-based distro with different defaults, different software selection (including proprietary software), and their own desktop environment.
They still upstream their changes to upstream projects.
