Somehow this issue is not reproducible with Armbian, but maybe because Gnome Shell is a bit newer.

Is anyone seeing same behavior on Debian 12?

Maybe you are hitting https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/msm/-/issues/33 .. seems to be a display/vblank issue, check dmesg after it happens?

Lenovo's MSRP prices is meaningless. Just wait for sale and you will be able to get one for 1300-1400 USD.

You need to distinguish native benchmarks results and emulated benchmarks results in these reviews. For it's real price (1300-1400 USD) Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 native performance is fine in my opinion.
This.. the x13s is my current daily driver, and quite a bit faster than what it is replacing (kbl i7 dell xps13).. and thinner and fanless and better battery life. I'm quite happy with it. But yeah, don't pay lenovo MSRP on this.. or really any of their laptops AFAICT. With the "real" prices which seem easy enough to find, and without having to emulate x86 everywhere, it is a solid value for what you get.

No error like this in my dmesg. I found workaround like a hour ago and almost started writing e-mail to you, but then noticed your comment here. Although I don't have ThinkPad X13s on hands right now (after several unsuccessful repairs Lenovo decided to replace my unit) I just checked Mutter 44 on Lenovo Yoga C630 WOS (by upgrading from Debian 12 to 13) and that solved it. This is also probably explain why you wasn't able to reproduce this issue in Fedora and why I couldn't reproduce this issue in Armbian (as very first Armbian image for X13s was based on Ubuntu Lunar with Mutter 44; it's seems like now they removed it) on X13s. So if you still want to reproduce it - try to get Debian 12 running (or some other way to run Mutter 43).

I also want to take opportunity to thank you for your work on Freedreno driver!
